For this years’ edition of Deloitte Global Mobile Consumer Survey we decided to take a different approach than last year. Whereas in the previous edition there were plenty of facts spelled out in the video itself, this year we wanted to promote it through a compelling story.
We wanted to show the audience what impact phone usage can have, besides from simply showing the facts. Because behind those stats and numbers lie actual people whose lives are influenced by their respective devices.
The commercial we made follows two old friends as they rekindle their relation, which quickly turns into a romance. As the couple returns to their initial meeting place, their perfect live turns nightmarish, only to be awakened to find out it was all a dream — a dream that could have been reality had they not been overindulged in their phones.
